This event is a fundraiser for the Spring Hill Landmark Waterfall at US 19 & Spring Hill Dr.
Businesses, clubs, organizations and individuals are invited to decorate a scarecrow to be displayed in the Nature Coast Botanical Gardens from Oct. 12 to Nov. 15, during which time visitors will be able to vote for their favorite. Entry forms and contest rules are on the club's website:www.naturecoastgardens.com.
Everyone is encouraged to become "Supporters of the Waterfall" with monetary donations. Donations can be mailed to the Spring Hill garden Club, P.O. Box 3504, Spring Hill, FL 34606; indicate Waterfall in memo line. The club's goal is to keep the only historic landmark in Spring Hill in tip-top shape for years to come. We need the community's support to accomplish this goal. Visit our website or call 352-683-9933 for more info.
The Garden Club will conduct Scarecrow workshops at 9am on August 21 and Sept. 4th in the Nature Coast Gardens at 1489 Parker Ave. Workshop participants are encouraged to bring clothing and any decorations needed to make their scarecrows. Frames to support the scarecrows will be available at a cost of $2.00. There is no charge to participate in these workshops.
