Sierra Club Adventure Coast Celebrates Founder John Muir's 179th Birthday April 21st
Join us for the local Sierra Club celebration of founder John Muir's 179th Birthday at McKethan Lake Park, 15019 N. Broad St. in Brooksville on Friday, April 21. $2. Park admission per person.
Sierra Club groups throughout the nation are taking time to celebrate founder John Muir and this event will be hosted by the Sierra Club Adventure Coast Committee.
Schedule:
9:30 a.m. Meet at Pavilion B to join Ben Berauer, Outings Leader, and Linda Vanderveen, Sierra Club member and Audubon Society birding expert, for a guided trail walk around the lake. Or just enjoy the lakeside park at the Pavilion that will feature exhibits and information on Sierra Club.
Noon—1:30 p.m. Picnic luncheon featuring Jerry Cowling as John Muir. Donations accepted for luncheon & program.
