The B-17 Project “Stand Tall Together”, Co-Chairman Jack Waldron and Lucy Basta, are happy to report that casting and staging for the USO Style Show, scheduled for Veteran’s Day, is nearing completion.  The show, in honor of all veterans, will raise funds for the purchase of display cabinets to hold local military memorabilia.

Announcer Jason Yungman will serve as Hernando County’s answer to Bob Hope.  Entertainment spans comedy, dance and musical variety by local volunteers.  Celebrities appear courtesy of a talented line-up of tribute performers.  Acts include:  Minnie Pearl, Louis Armstrong, Sonny and Cher, Bette Midler, The Andrews Sisters, and The Momma’s and The Pappas.  Dancers from John Leggio’s Center for the Performing Arts will do a traditional Can-Can.

Musicians and songsters will offer a variety of numbers including familiar favorites, patriotic and cajun fiddle specialties.  The Timber Pines Jazz Kats will add their dance talents to the show.  Ken E. Grube will present a patriotic Elvis Presley tribute to the USA.  Sound, lights and filming are under the direction of Richard Foti, assisted by Matt Wilcox.

Shows are Monday, Nov 11th, from 7pm-9pm, at the Brooksville Elks Lodge, 2582 Cortez Blvd, Brooksville FL.  Admission is a Donation of $5.00 per person.
